 Innovation & Startup Cell – RCAS Celebrates National Science Day with AI Challenge

Coimbatore, February 28, 2026:

The Innovation and Startup Cell – RCAS of Rathinam College of Arts & Science (Autonomous) successfully organized a dynamic online event titled “AI Challenge: Build a Bot in an Hour” in celebration of National Science Day 2026.

National Science Day is observed every year on February 28 to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C. V. Raman. Marking this significant scientific milestone, the event aimed to promote innovation, technical creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking among participants.

The challenge invited school students, college students, and working professionals to design and deploy a functional AI bot within one hour. Participants submitted their working solutions through an online platform, showcasing applications ranging from educational assistants to environmental awareness bots.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from budding innovators eager to explore artificial intelligence and rapid prototyping techniques.

Speaking about the initiative, the organizers emphasized that the objective was not only to celebrate science but also to encourage practical implementation of technology-driven solutions aligned with startup culture and innovation ecosystems.
